Zoo Trip with Daddy

We were lucky that for this weeks outing Adam could join us. We made our way to the Stone Zoo for a Friday afternoon. The first exhibit was great. The bears were right up against the windows trying to sniff the kids.

Another favorite was climbing on the Earth.

Adam always thinks he can handle the whole world at once.
We had lots of fun with Daddy and are excited that his classes are nearly over and then he will be able to spend more time with us before his Europe trip.

The Boys Room Is Finished

After 8 months I have finally finished the boys room. Since we can't paint I decided to make model planets. It didn't actually take all that long. I had finished the planets within a month of moving in last year. Then the bedding and curtains came shortly after. It was the sun that was put off until last week when Alex started vocalizing even more then usual that it needed to get done. I think it turned out wonderful. The best part...they glow in the dark.

The Butterfly Place

Now that spring has officially arrived we have started to do weekly outings to fill our usual Imajine That trip time. This week, we went to the Butterfly Place in Chelmsford.

The enclosure was quite awesome. The boys loved to check out the butterflys, however we had to be very careful since Jonathan just wanted to touch them all. And of course, since they flew everywhere we had to watch our feet.
Here was my favorite. Unfortunately, the blue color doesn't quite show in the picture.

We ended up leaving quickly after Jonathan purposely stepped on one. I am not sure he quite gets that that was not right, but I didn't stick around for him to do it again.

Easter

Easter was a beautiful day here in New England. We spent a lot of the day at the boys favorite park. It was so nice out that we spent a good deal of time playing baseball.

Then we took a hike around the little pond to check out the new turtles.

The tree the boys always climb on had some issues this winter and some of the huge limbs were cut off. It didn't stop them from getting up to a small ledge.

We walked over to the town's egg hunt. There were 10000 eggs spread out over 4 sections, splitting up the ages. I went with Alex and Adam went with Jonathan. The whole thing was over in about 45 seconds.

So we had another hunt at our complex's park.
Alex got to play some tennis. We are looking for lessons this summer. He loves it so much and already has so much talent.
Jonathan got some practice on the bike we got him last year. He still has some severe steering issues but his legs are getting stronger.
And of course, lots of daddy time.

We hope everyone else had as wonderful a weekend as we did.
