What count are we on for parties?

This party was held at our apartment complex. Jonathan chowed down on the pizza. Not quite like his Daddy who jumped at the chance for free pizza and ate 10 slices.

They had Joe the Storyteller. Who was really great with the kids. Although it went a whole hour which is a bit much for my boys.

In the end, Jonathan won the best costume contest. Everyone thought he was too cute.

Here is just a quick shot of Jonathan playing with fake teeth that Alex got from school. To cute!

Golfing Superman and Yoda!

So this was actually a costume parade to the High School. Once we got the candy we stopped at the park to do a quick game of golf.

Even Tiger is scared of a face of with Yoda.

Pumpkin Patch Day!

I was thrilled to find a pumpkin patch that didn't require an hour drive. This one happens to be right next to our neighborhood grocery. Here are some really cute shots of the boys.

It was a lot of work picking out the best pumpkin.

Ah, success. The best part of the day...pulling the wagon.

Somehow, I missed taking a picture of the final product. This is as close as it gets.

Party Number 2 and 3

Alex was Superman this year. He was so cute. He wanted to be in his costume at some point everday of October.

He got to decorate a pumpkin and the Reading Municipal Light Department party.

Jonathan wore Alex's old Yoda costume and was simply adorable. He also got to decorate a pumpkin. Later we cut it up and made soup and bread. Boy howdy, was that yummy stuff. Thank you to my friend Carol G for passing on the delicious recipe.

Jonathan was intrigued by the Cars costume. It kind of freaked Alex out.

The parties begin

Here is the first of many Halloween parties we attended this year. This one was at a local elementary school.

Alex looks bored beading a necklace but then got into it when they broke out the letters and he could spell out his name.

Next to Jonathan you can see why he has such a big smile. That is what we call a massive Halloween cupcake. I think he just picked the candy off.

Alex ended up a little high strung with all the sugar running through him. adam took him outside to run a little off and he ended up climbing some concrete posts.

Then really freaked when I brought him some cotton candy. Yum!

Fall Photos

This last weekend we went out to our favorite park and took some really neat pictures. After 2 hours of primping we finally were all ready and somewhat matching. We got one shot in before the boys scattered. But I think it turned out ok. The boys aren't screaming or anything.

I also took the boys into the woods to take some individual pics. Here is Alex in a tree. He really enjoyed being so high.

Jonathan's pictures really turned out the best. He is so amazingly photogenic. This is the best of about 10 that are frammable.

We got another of Alex that was adorable in a Gazebo. He is so cute.

While I was setting up the camera the both posed so wonderfully. But by the time I ran in they were fidgety. That was about 30 seconds after we got to the park.

When the boys scattered Jonathan tested his photography skills with our tripod.

And Alex ran for the Green Giant Park.

Here are some cutie pictures from the last two weeks. I couldn't pass up this one with Jonathan's plumber butt.

Two weeks ago Jonathan got "lost" in our complex play area. A friend and I, and about 10 neighbors we don't know, were frantically running all over to find him. He was found by an older couple 10 feet away from us in a bush. That couple was actually moving out that day and gave us this wonderful kitchen.

Jonathan can't get enough of it. He is just sad that the food is fake. He is always hungry.

A couple of days ago I nearly burned the house down. I came home to a smell of smoke and this is what I found:

I think if I had been 30 minutes later the boys would have gotten to see some big fire engines up close.

Here are some cuties of Alex.

And always, the boys hungging.Oh they are so cute.

Busy Boys in ther PJ's!

Hello everyone and Happy Fall! Alex is learning all about the seasons in school. He is really excited about it snowing. We are wondering what he is smoking!

We had a picnic at the zoo last week. Alex got to ride the train again. Which was wonderful. Luckily, Jonathan hasn't figured out he is missing out since he is too small to go.

Alex's favorite part of the zoo is the bat cave. Surprisingly he wants to be Superman, not Batman for Halloween. I wonder if I can get away with dressing Jonathan up like Lex Luther.

Costco has pulled through yet another year. The huge store sold me numerous sets of PJ's all matching and adorable. Gotta love Carter's.

Alex has learned how to use the camera. I think if we let him he would take a couple hundred a week. Oh wait! He did take a couple hundred this week. Maybe that is why it has taken me so long to update my blog.

Did I tell you that Alex is adorable?

Actually, both boys are pretty darn cute!

Alex got a Human Body puzzle. What many of you don't know is that Alex is a fanatic when it comes to photos of the Human Body. He loves learning all about the organs and bones. We have numerous posters and books on the topic. We even have a running story about how an egg is fertilized with sperm...all with hand motions and everything.

Adams high school tack and field coach was in Boston this past week. Somehow he made contact with her after over a decade and she happened to be visiting. It was a fun evening and I am sure we will get to see Ms Voss more often when we are back in California to visit.

Alex loves feeding his brother still. How sad will it be when I finally make Jonathan give up the bottle.

Alex was having so much fun in preschool that he has dropped out and gone straight to work. He figures he needs to start to pay his part of the bills. Keep the gas in the tricycle, you know that kind of stuff.

The playgroup I belong to had a make a train day. I wasn't going to do anything but Adam talked me into a graham cracker house, train and track.

Once again, my artwork displayed. The house pales in comparison to the beautiful child.

The kids in the playgroup stared while waiting for their turn to dig in. And dig in they did. Alex, Jonathan and about 3 others just sat next to it for 10 minutes munching away. Then we had to leave because Alex had a meltdown. Mmm, I wonder why.

Once again, Coscto PJ's. You may ask, How many sets did she get? And I would answer, hmmm what did you ask?

Hugs!

We have had a busy couple of weeks. It should only stay the same. The leaves are starting to change colors here. It really is quite amazing. California does not get this kind of fall. Of course, I think we would all rather be in California in January.
